Öz

Küresel ekonomilerin gelişimine bağlı olarak sürekli büyüyen lüks seyahat talebi, uluslararası turizmde kendi başına bir niş pazar konumundadır. Bu nedenle ülkeler, turizm bölgeleri ve işletmeleri lüks turizm talebini karşılamak üzere ürün veya hizmetlerin tasarımında bir yarış halindedir. Ancak lüks turizm talebinde bulunan turistler, diğer kitlelere göre bazı farklılıklar sergilemektedirler. Bu bağlamda araştırma; lüks turizm endüstrisindeki mevcut gelişmeleri ortaya koyma ve pazarın beklentilerinin neler olduğunu keşfetmek üzere tasarlanmıştır. Nitel yaklaşım benimsenen çalışma da doküman incelemesi tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Bilimsel veriler, akademik çalışmalar, şirket dokümanları, dergiler ve çeşitli turizm kuruluşlarına ait bildirilerden elde edilmiştir. Sonuçlar, lüks turizm deneyiminin çok farklı türlerinin geliştiğini ve yanı sıra lüks turizm talebinde bulunan turistlerin, kendilerine özgü bireysel deneyimleri önemsediğini ortaya koymuştur. Çıkarımlara bağlı olarak getirilen öneriler, araştırma nihayete erdirilirken okuyucunun bilgisine sunulmuştur.
